one day before yesterday

last night i was with the gods

payed a visit to their heavens and hells

yesterday

there was light

then there was sound

then there was a space

then there was man

then there was energy

then they all went to dance

they don’t pray here

they just dance

and dance and dance

last night

i met apollo!

he transformed his music into blood

it travels through the veins

to reach the heart and a brain

to resurrect the dead inside

i drank with dionysus!

he told me things he saw

and lessons he learnt

from all the love and the unlove

confessions he heard in drunken moments

i saw hades from far!

all serious and shit

he stands on a podium

dances gracefully

he does not smile

yesterday

hermes paved the way

broke all the boundaries

he whispered secrets i can not share

i drowned in a sea of bodies

then floated then drowned again

until zeus came down and danced with me

then we owned the universe

the seas and the land

yesterday

i remembered you

for a second or two

and forgave my self

for being happy without you

yesterday i went to the underworld

and knew what lust meant

then rose up to heaven

and kissed a god or two

yesterday is a past

something that joyfully died

and you

you my dear

you are one day before yesterday
